As we enter winter proper it seems the perfect time to share the secret with you, canny wine drinkers, of the incredible flavour that our bottom shelf wines offer. Light whites such as crisp, refreshing Vinho Verde rub shoulders with textured, nutty fiano and the grapefruit zing of Douro Branco. On the red front, juicy Bobal might appear, with peppery Jumilla from Spain and maybe even a juicy number from North Macedonia.
To pair we'll have some delicious French, Italian and Spanish cheeses, as we ease into the forthcoming year.
Wine tasting session will start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. There will be a selection of 6-8 wines to taste on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines.
